People of all ages and walks of life can take advantage of Smart Moves. Here is how it works:

1. Schedule an appointment for a free consultation. If the doctor feels you are a candidate for Smart Moves an impression will be made of your teeth and sent to the lab for evaluation. Remember, this is done at NO COST TO YOU!

2. The lab will conduct a detailed computer evaluation of the impression. A treatment plan will be sent back to the doctor with the number of trays required and cost.

3. The doctor will contact you to discuss the treatment plan. You will know the exact cost of Smart Moves before you ever invest a penny. Smart moves provides an opportunity to have straight teeth at half the cost of other systems. If payment is a concern, don't worry. We have payment options to fit any budget.

4. Does my insurance cover orthodontic treatment? Some insurance does and some do not. Others place limitations on the amount paid and the age. Don't worry. We can pull up your specific insurance plan so you will know exactly what your plan covers. All at no charge.

5. Once you have decided to proceed the trays are ordered. The lab prepares the trays (usually 3-7 sets) and sends them to us. Simply, start with set 1, which will be tight. Once the tray becomes loose then proceed to tray 2, so forth and so on. We will schedule you for periodic exams to make sure everything is going well. The exams are all included in the price. No extra charge!

6. The benefits do not end after reaching the final tray! Use your last tray to keep your teeth in place simply by wearing it at night. Smart Moves trays can also be used for teeth whitening. We have teeth whitening material all in stock and at an affordable price.

Smart Moves is virtually clear. Chances are, only you will know you're wearing it. You'll be able to smile, talk, and go about your day with complete confidence.

 

Treatment is quick and convenient

Smart Moves uses a progressive series of clear, removable aligners to straighten teeth. Exclusive, highly elastic materials efficiently and comfortably move teeth in less time than many other clear aligner systems. The result-treatment can be completed sooner with fewer appliances and appointments.

 

Removable and comfortable

Smart Moves won't interfere with your lifestyle. You simply remove Smart Moves to eat, brush, and floss. Unlike braces, you can still eat what you want. Each aligner is custom molded to comfortably fit your teeth without wires and metal brackets that could cause irritation.

 

How long does treatment take?

It varies with each patient. Typically, treatment takes approximately six months.

 

How long do I wear the aligner each day? 

Your aligner should be worn 24/7 except while eating, drinking hot liquids, or playing certain instruments or contact sports.

 

How often will I need to see my doctor?

Your doctor will generally want to see you every four to six weeks to check your progress. Depending on the amount of tooth movement needed, you'll receive a new set of custom-molded aligners to continue the straightening process.

 

How do I care for my aligner? 

Gently remove your aligner using both hands, being careful not to twist it. Clean your aligner daily using cool water, gently brushing with a non-abrasive toothpaste. DentaSOAK is recommended to effectively disinfect and remove stubborn debris and is available at www.dentasoak.com. Do not soak the aligner in mouthwash containing alcohol or colorant, or use effervescent dental cleansers. These could cause damage or discoloration.

 

How long will the appointment take? 

Typically the initial appointment will last approximately 30 minutes.

 

How much am I going to have to pay?

Smart Moves can be up to half the price of other clear aligner systems such as Invisalign. Typically, this is somewhere between $1,600 to $2,500. Sometimes it is a little less, seldom is it more but it all depends on the number of trays required to obtain the desired result.

Red Arrow Dentistry charges a flat fee of $2,500 for the first three sets of trays (upper/lower) which is the typical number of trays required to achieve the desired results. An additional fee will apply if additional trays are required to achieve the desired results.
